Curriculum

Her main %research interest is in
research interest is to develop
algorithms for {\em learning, recognition and categorization} of visual and multimodal patterns for artificial autonomous systems like robots.
These features are crucial to enable robots to represent and understand their surroundings, to learn and reason about it,
%to interact with it,
and ultimately to equip them with
cognitive capabilities.
%developing algorithms for learning and recognition of visual and multi-modal patterns.
As a result of her activities,
Prof. Caputo has edited 4 books, and she has published 23 journal papers and 63 peer reviewed conference papers.%} (see Section \ref{8}).
Her work is well received in the community, and Google Scholar counts over 5000 citations, with an H-index of 29.
