CURRICULUM VITAE

POSIZIONE ATTUALE.
Professore ordinario presso la Facoltà di Ingegneria Civile e Industriale dell Università di Roma La Sapienza. Titolare del corso di Meccanica applicata alle macchine e Meccanica dei robot.
ESPERIENZE PRECEDENTI.
Dal 1990 al 1998, ricercatore presso la Facoltà di Ingegneria dell Università di Roma Tor Vergata. Precedentemente ricercatore presso l Istituto Nazionale per Studi ed Esperienze di Architettura Navale.
PRINCIPALI CAMPI DI RICERCA.
Modellazione di problemi di interazione acustico-strutturale sia nel campo delle frequenze medio-basse sia nel campo delle alte frequenze. Controllo passivo e attivo delle vibrazioni nel settore dei sistemi robotici flessibili e nel settore delle strutture intelligenti.

PRESENT POSITION.
Full Professor of Applied Mechanics and Robot Mechanics at the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering of the University of Rome La Sapienza.
PREVIOUS POSITIONS.
From 1990 till 1998 researcher at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Rome Tor Vergata. Formerly researcher at Istituto Nazionale per Studi ed Esperienze di Architettura Navale.
MAIN RESEARCH FIELDS.
Structural acoustic interaction modelling in both medium-low and high frequency range. Active and passive control of vibrations in the field of flexible robots and smart structures.
