Present position
Associate professor, Sapienza University of Rome, Department of Biochemical Sciences
Research interests
Structure-function, molecular evolution and control of enzymes involved in the oxygen, nitric oxide and sulphide metabolism. The research focuses primarily on the role of these gaseous molecules, and associated reactive species, in mitochondrial physiology or pathology and in the microbial response to oxidative and nitrosative stress.
