Luigi Martirano (PhD - Senior Member IEEE) is a full professor in electrical power systems.
Coordinator of the PhD School of Engineering and Applied Science for Energy and Industry.
Secretary of the National Research Group GUSEE - Gruppo Universitario "Sistemi Elettrici per l Energia".
Coordinator of the Electrical Department of DIAEE.
Member at large of the Industry Application Society IEEE / IAS Board.
He is member of the following boards:

Responsible of the Laboratory of Power Systems and of the Laboratory of Distribution and Utilization and Building Automation in the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Rome.
His research activities cover power systems design, planning, safety, protection and coordination, lighting systems, building automation and energy savings.
Author of more than 250 publications in national and international journals and conferences, and of one patent regarding electrical safety protection.
Vice President of the Technical Commette CT 315 "Energy efficiency" of the CEI Italian Electrical Standards Committee.
Member of the Technical Commettee CT 205 BUS systems for buildings . Chair of the Working Group about Interior Lighting Systems.
Member of the European CENELEC Joint Working Group CEN/CLC JWG9 Energy measurement plan for organizations.
Active in Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers IEEE (Student Member since 1998, Member since 2002, Senior Member since 2011).
Senior member of the IEEE International Electrical and Electronic Enginnesrs.
Member of the AEIT Italian Electrotechnical Association.
