- Enhancement of second harmonic generation in photonic crystals, disordered structures and metallo-dielectric nanostructures.
- Transit time and dispersion of optical pulses propagating through finite size 1D photonic crystals, numerical and experimental study.
- Theoretical and numerical models for spontaneous parametric down conversion in photonic crystals, optimization of generation of twin photons in periodic and quasi-periodic structures.
- Numerical models for simulation of linear and nonlinear propagation of optical pulses in dielectric and metallodielectric photonic crystals.
- Theoretical and numerical models for tailored second harmonic generation and nonlinear interactions in metallic nanostructures and nanoantennas.
- Experimental data interpretation and analysis on second harmonic circular dichroism in plasmonic chiral nanostructures and metasurfaces.
- Numerical and experimental studies on the extrinsic chirality response of self-assembled hybrid metallodielectric structures.
- Theoretical and numerical study of near- and far-field thermal radiation from nanostructured objects. - Control of the emissivity and of the near field heat transfer between coupled nanoantennas of arbitrary shapes.
- Numerical study and design of metallo-dielectric nanostructured devices and metamaterials for IR applications, selective absorption/emission, including the control of IR radiation polarization and/or temporal and spatial coherence.
- Near field heat transfer, taming and management of IR emissivity.
