Obiettivi Formativi: Sviluppo delle competenze ecologiche di base volte allo studio di realtà complesse, al fine di poter analizzare la realtà dei sistemi ecologici naturali, degli agroecosistemi e dei sistemi urbani attraverso l'integrazione di conoscenze matematiche, fisiche, chimiche e biologiche. Tutto ciò non solo con l'obiettivo di acquisire approfondite conoscenze di base, ma anche di carattere applicativo nel contesto della realtà ambientale modificata dall'uomo in uno scenario di cambiamento globale e climatico. A conclusione del corso, lo studente acquisirà autonomia di giudizio, abilità comunicativa e capacità di apprendimento con riferimento al concetto di ecosistema e al rapporto tra struttura e funzione, alla complessità dei processi ecologici e all’analisi e monitoraggio delle principali interazioni tra la componente fisica e biotica degli ecosistemi terrestri e acquatici, anche mediante attività di gruppo per la realizzazione di unità didattiche e schede per l’insegnamento dell’ecologia. Le competenze acquisite durante il corso consentiranno di avere una buona autonomia nello sviluppare contenuti relativi all’educazione ambientale e allo sviluppos sostenibile nella scuola dell’infanzia e primaria.

Uomo e natura. Definizioni di ecologia. Livelli di organizzazione biologica. Le proprietà emergenti. Concetto di ecosistema.
Ambiente fisico. Il clima. Il suolo. Sostanza organica e tipi di humus. L'ambiente acquatico. L'ambiente terrestre.
L'organismo e l'ambiente. Ecologia delle popolazioni e delle comunità. Competizione intra e interspecifica, coesistenza. Concetti di habitat, nicchia ecologica. Biodiversità. Zone biogeografiche e Biomi.
Cicli biogeochimici (carbonio, idrologico).
Impatto delle attività umane sui sistemi ecologici. Cambiamenti globali. Inquinamento dell'aria dell'acqua e del suolo. Effetto serra e cambiamenti climatici. Cambiamento di uso del suolo. L'ecosistema urbano. Sostenibilità globale. Capitale Naturale e Servizi Ecosistemici.

Modalità di svolgimento

Le lezioni in aula sono effettuate mediante slides proiettate e seminari. Le esercitazioni consisteranno nella progettazione di una Unità Didattica e la preparazione di una scheda didattica che i discenti potranno progettare in gruppo o singolarmente sugli argomenti trattati durante il corso. Le attività di esercitazione sopra indicate sono obbligatorie per essere ammessi a sostenere l’esame e verranno svolte nelle seguenti giornate in aula IX a Villa Mirafiori:

Modalità di valutazione

La valutazione del profitto sarà effettuata mediante un esame orale volto a verificare le conoscenze acquisite durante il corso. Alla valutazione finale concorrerà anche il giudizio legato allo svolgimento delle esercitazioni svolte durante il corso.

 

 

Ricercatrice presso il Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, Istituto per la BioEconomia.

Le mie ricerche riguardano lo studio degli effetti che stress abiotici, naturali o di origine antropica, legati ai cambiamenti globali e climatici, hanno sulla componente vegetale degli ecosistemi terrestri. Utilizzando le tecniche dell'ecofisiologia vegetale, indago come varia l'interazione tra pianta e ambiente, con particolare attenzione a stress come quello idrico, o salinità al suolo che insistono nell'area del Bacino del Mediterraneo, oppure focalizzandomi sull'azione fitotossica di inquinanti come Ozono troposferico e deposizioni azotate. Parte sostanziale dei miei interessi di ricerca hanno mirato a valutare l'effetto funzionale dell'interazione tra più fattori di stress attraverso un approccio multidisciplinare. Negli ultimi anni mi sono focalizzata sull’analisi di come l’effetto degli stress può inficiare la capacità della vegetazione di fornire Servizi Ecosistemici di Regolazione in ecosistemi naturali e urbani, attraverso un approccio multiscala.
