BIOGRAPHICAL DATA
Giuseppe Strappa, architect, is currently Alta qualificazione (Highly Qualified) senior professor of Urban Morphology at the "Sapienza" University of Rome, where he was president of the Architectural Science Course.
He is a member of the Executive Committee of ISUF (International seminar on Urban Form) and coordinator of the Regional Networks and member of the editorial board of Urban Morphology magazine.
He is president of Isufitaly (Italian section of Isuf), and director of U + D (Urban form and Design), a journal classified in Class A (excellent scientific level) by the Italian Ministry of University and Research.
He was director of the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture at the Polytechnic of Bari. In the Sapienza University he was a member of the University Committee for doctorates, coordinator of the Draco Doctorate (in Architecture and Construction), director of the Doctoral School of Sciences of Architecture, director of the Lpa Laboratory (Architectural Reading and Design).
He has won relevant design competitions and built a number of significant works.
His theoretical and design work mainly concerns the reading of the formative processes of architecture and city at different scales, a topic on which he has published many essays and volumes.
