Domenico Lembo (http://www.dis.uniroma1.it/~lembo) is full professor in Computer Science and Engineering at Sapienza Università di Roma. His research interests include databases, knowledge representation, Semantic Web, data integration, Description Logics and ontologies, inconsistency management in information systems, from both the theoretical and application point of view. He is co-author of around 120 publications in scientific journals and proceedings of national and international conferences and workshops, including the most prestigious ones in the areas of artificial intelligence and databases. Through his research, he contributed to the definition of the DL-Lite family of Description Logics, which is the basis of the W3C standard OWL 2 QL, and of the paradigm for data integration known as Ontology-based Data Access. He participated to and is currently involved in many national and international research and industrial projects on information integration and Semantic Web technologies. He is regularly member of the program committee of the major conferences in artificial intelligence and databases. He has been co-Chair of the 2017 Reasoning Web summer school, co-Chair of the program committee of the conferences AIxIA 2023, SEBD 2015, RR 2013 and DL 2007, general chair of DL 2012, and publicity and proceedings chair of PODS 2008. He has been guest editor of the Journal of Applied Logic and of the Semantic Web Journal. He has been co-presenter of several tutorials on data integration and Description Logics (ISWC 2007, ESWC 2009, AAAI 2010, IJCAI 2016, ISWC 2017), invited lecturer to the EDBT 2017 summer school and keynote speaker to IC3K 2023. He is vice-president of the steering committee of the International Conference Series on Web Reasoning and Rule Systems (RR). He is one of the co-founder of OBDA Systems s.r.l., a Sapienza start-up that develops solutions for ontology-based data management. He is one of the recipients of the 2021 AAAI Classic Paper Award and of the ISWC 2020 best demo&poster award. He is co-Head of the CLAIRE (https://claire-ai.org/) Rome Office since October 2022. He is the directors of the degrees in Engineering in Computer Science of Sapienza since Novembre 2023.
