Giovanni D Alessio is a manager in the Statistical Analysis Directorate of the Bank of Italy. Graduated in Economics at University of Naples Federico II , he earned his PhD in Statistical Methods at the University of Rome La Sapienza . Hired in 1988 at the Research Department of the Bank of Italy, he was in charge of the Sample Surveys Division between 2001 and 2015. He is author of several research papers on the measurement of economic well-being and on income and wealth distribution.
Giovanni D Alessio è un dirigente del Servizio Analisi Statistiche della Banca d Italia. Laureato in Economia e Commercio presso la facoltà Federico II di Napoli, ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca in Statistica Metodologica presso l università La Sapienza di Roma. Assunto nel 1988 presso il Servizio Studi della Banca d Italia, è stato responsabile tra il 2001 e il 2015 della Divisione Indagini campionarie. È autore di numerose ricerche sulla misurazione del benessere economico e sulla distribuzione del reddito e della ricchezza.
